As predicted, schools are closing early on Monday!

Prediction for Monday 3/16: schools will close early!

As predicted, schools are opening on a delayed schedule! Have a great day everyone!

Prediction for Tuesday 3/3: schools will be delayed.

As predicted, schools will be closed/virtual on Monday!

Prediction for Monday 2/23: schools will be closed (and virtual if applicable).

Welp, we were wrong. Despite half covered side roads, children walking in the streets and on snow piles, they are opening on time.

Again, schools would be closed under these conditions if it was right after a storm, so be careful!

Prediction for Wednesday: schools will be delayed.

Still no bus stops, sidewalks, or full side roads. Add to that the pictures of students battling traffic in streets, climbing snow mounds, and today’s bus accidents, and a delay just seems like the right choice. This is a low confidence prediction, even though it is the safest option for children.

As predicted, schools will open 2 hours late on Tuesday.

This delay still does not make sidewalks, bus waiting areas, and side roads suddenly safe or even existent, so use your best judgement for your children.

Prediction for Tuesday 2/3: Schools will be delayed again.

That is the logical prediction. So we'll see.

As predicted (kind of), schools will be delayed.

We hope everyone can find safe paths to school. Trust us, busses will struggle on many side roads, and walkers and bus riders will be in the streets.

Prediction for Monday 2/2: schools will be virtual again!

However, if buildings do open, there will be a delay.

This is a tough one! School grounds have seen much improvement, however:

*main roads still have full lanes disappear into a snow bank
*side roads are not bus safe; can’t maneuver through the tight roads fully
*walkers and bus riders will be walking and waiting in the street
*temps above freezing Monday and Tuesday to help with melting and clearing

Will they go with being extra safe, or will they open?
