As EMS week comes to a close, today weβre proud to recognize our longtime partnership with Thomaston Ambulance π
Thomaston is a BLS 911-only service that responds to approximately 1,300 calls each year, providing dependable emergency medical care to the community day and night. This year also marks an incredible milestone as Vintech celebrates 28 years of partnership with Thomaston Ambulance β a relationship built on trust, teamwork, and dedication to patient care.
Pictured are Northwest Operations Director Jack Begley and his partner, EMT Holli Ryan, who are proud to serve the Thomaston community alongside an outstanding group of EMTs and volunteers. Today during EMS Week, weβre proud to recognize the dedicated crews serving alongside Bethel Volunteer Fire Department π
Vintech has proudly partnered with Bethel for over 10 years, helping provide BLS emergency medical coverage to the community. Together, the crews respond to nearly 2,000 calls each year, serving not only Bethel but also surrounding communities whenever needed.
Site Manager EMT Kevin Dobos shared how proud he is of his team and the commitment they show every day. With a close-knit group of five to six employees, the Bethel crews consistently demonstrate professionalism, dedication, and strong clinical skills while always putting the needs and welfare of their patients and community before their own.

Half way through EMS week and today weβre proud to recognize the dedicated crews serving alongside Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company π
Stony Hill provides BLS coverage daily from 6 AM to 6 PM, with weekend staffing consisting of one Vintech EMT partnered with a volunteer EMT. The service also works closely with the Bethel-Redding Paramedic program to help provide advanced life support to the community. Together, the crews respond to approximately 1,150 calls each year.
Site Manager Emily Read says what makes Stony Hill truly special is the people. The team is made up of an incredible group of hardworking individuals β many of them balancing EMS with the responsibilities of being parents and caring for their families at home. Emily shared how appreciative she is for everything the crews do, adding that they make her job easy and create an environment where everyone genuinely enjoys coming to work.
The strong partnership between Vintech staff and Stony Hill volunteers has grown into more than just a working relationship β itβs become a friendship. That teamwork, camaraderie, and shared commitment to patient care is what makes this service so special.
Thank you to all of the EMTs, paramedics, and volunteers serving the Stony Hill community. Happy EMS Week! ππ

Today during EMS Week, weβre proud to highlight two outstanding communities we serve β Harwinton Ambulance Association and Burlington Fire Department π
Harwinton is a BLS 911-only service that averages approximately 700 calls each year. While Harwinton may not be our busiest service, the crews certainly see a wide variety of calls and always stay ready for whatever comes next. Since our partnership with Harwinton began in 2009, Vintech staff and Harwinton volunteers have built an incredible relationship, and our crews are always welcomed in like family.
We also proudly recognize our partnership with Burlington Fire & EMS, which resumed in July of 2025. Weβve had a fantastic first year back serving alongside Burlington as they provide ALS 911-only coverage to their community, responding to approximately 750 calls annually. While the call volume may not always be high, they know how to make sure no two shifts are the same! We are extremely thankful to Burlington and their officers for welcoming us back with open arms and continuing such a strong partnership. Site Supervisor Paramedic Kevin Watson noted a lot of staff live in Burlington, and the staff is thankful to work hand-in- hand with the volunteers on both the EMS and fire side.
Both sites are overseen by Northwest Operations Director Paramedic Jack Begley, who could not be more proud of the EMTs and Paramedics serving these communities. Their professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to patient care continue to make a positive impact every single day.
Thank you to the crews, officers, and volunteers of Harwinton and Burlington for your continued support and partnership. Happy EMS Week! ππ

Next up in our EMS Week service highlights is the dedicated team at New Milford Ambulance π
Vintech has proudly partnered with New Milford Ambulance since 2009, helping provide ALS 911 coverage to the community for the past 17 years. Today, crews staff two ambulances 24/7 along with a daytime fly-car paramedic 7 days a week to help meet the needs of a busy and growing call volume.
Responding to nearly 3,500 calls each year, New Milford remains one of Vintechβs busiest sites. We are incredibly grateful for the continued trust and partnership from New Milford Ambulance and appreciate the opportunity to serve alongside their department and community each and every day.
The site is overseen by Southwest Operations Supervisor Paramedic Zach Sawicki, who is consistently proud of the professionalism, dedication, and teamwork displayed by the crews. While the job is demanding and there is rarely a dull moment, the EMTs and Paramedics in New Milford always know how to keep spirits high and bring energy and positivity to every shift.
Thank you to the crews serving New Milford for your hard work, commitment, and outstanding patient care. Happy EMS Week! ππ

Mortlake responds to approximately 1,200 EMS calls each year as a BLS 911-only service, providing dependable emergency care to their community day and night.
This year is especially meaningful as Vintech proudly celebrates 20 years of partnership with Mortlake, providing EMS staffing support since 2006. We greatly appreciate the continued support, trust, and partnership that Mortlake has shown us over the years, and we are honored to continue serving alongside their department and community.
Led by Site Supervisor EMT Carolyn Bannon, the Mortlake team is built on professionalism, dedication, and pride in patient care. Carolyn says she believes Mortlake has βsome of the best EMTs in northeastern Connecticut,β and we couldnβt agree more.
