Simple job done today. Customer complained that he started his vehicle, everything was fine he let it warm up a few minutes. Then the RPMs started to fluctuate and went below idle causing the vehicle to stall.

First i did a quick diagnostics test. The test came back with 3 codes. The codes were all repeated. P0340 for Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Bank 1 or Single Sensor.
Meaning the primary Camshaft sensor on Bank #1 is faulty or bad connection.

I then wiggled the plug the car did exactly what the customer complained about the sensor was broken bc it is plastic on a car with 300k miles with all the heat the engine produces plastic parts become brittle.

I replaced the sensor. Cleared all diagnostic trouble codes and good to go.

Have another happy repeat customer. Thanks for the business.

Something that could have turned into a headache turned out a simple fix.

Next time will take care of leaky valve cover gaskets, perform a tune up , intake manifold and plenum gaskets, plus a good ole oil change service.
