Topeka KS is home to ReVIVE! Barbershop Harmony Society mixed quartet. Our performances will ReVIVE! your spirits, too! ReVIVE! (SAI) sings Lead.
Since we came together, our lives and spirits have been ReVIVE!ed by our friendship and by the blend of our voices. quartet
Members of Topeka Capital City Chorus, Central States District of the Barbershop Harmony Society, (formerly SPEBSQSA) Inc. Don and Nyla Suffron sing Bass and Tenor. Donna Kready, Queen of Harmony, 1998 Classic Edition, Sweet Adelines, Inc. Greg Hedges sings Baritone. We are each long time members of the Barbershop Harmony organizations (SPEBSQSA and SAI) and many various quartets. We continue our love for the camaraderie and harmony of singing and performing together.
Today ReVIVE! gave another great performance, (without video or audio proof), but we’re telling you about it anyway!
We sang for a club, the Topeka Active Prime Timers who meet at Sacred Heart Parish in the Oakland Neighbourhood. The audience was all smiles and tapping fingers and toes. We really appreciated singing for them.
Even though we don’t have pictures from the Prime Timers performance, we bring you another snip from our Capital City Chorus show appearance.

Yes, these guys are the real deal! Jon Kready, nephew of our lead, Donna and son of our coach, Rick, sings bass with Fountain City Four. These young guys are showing us elders “how to do it!”
Congratulations to our very own chapter quartet Fountain City Four for officially qualifying for the 2026 Barbershop Harmony Society International Contest!
We'll meet you in St. Louis!!
Many of us in the Topeka Capital City Chorus still have a buzz from last weekend’s chapter show. One of the highest highlights of the day was singing One Voice featuring “Papa Don” Kready!
Watch until he gets going with the chorus!

As the photos show - it sure is fun singing in this quartet! ReVIVE! thoroughly enjoyed last weekend’s Topeka Chapter show.
We all sing with the Capital City Chorus where our lead, Donna’s dad, Don Kready, 73 year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society also sings.
Watch for our soon-to-be-released video of a special number in which Mr. “Papa” Don sings a featured solo!

Greg Hedges Introducing ReVIVE!
ReVIVE! really enjoyed performing along with Fountain City Four and Flint Hills Four quartets - and with 97 year old Don Kready, whose solo performance on One Voice with the Capital City Chorus absolutely brought down the full house!
