Turning 65 soon? Wondering if you need to sign up for Medicare right away?
Here’s a simple guide to help you know what to do — whether you’re retired or still working.

🟦 If You’re Retired or Not Working:
You’ll want to sign up during your Initial Enrollment Period, which is a 7‑month window:

3 months before your 65th birthday
Your birthday month
3 months after

This helps you avoid gaps in coverage and possible penalties.

🟩 If You’re Still Working:
Good news — you may not need to enroll right away.
If you have creditable employer coverage (through your job or your spouse’s job), you can usually delay Medicare Part B without penalty.
But every situation is different, especially with employer size, retiree plans, and prescription coverage — so it’s always smart to double‑check. We are here to help!
