Any questions? Playing the saxophone is hard work and it will be the most fun you will ever have. Correct breathing will not only give you the power that many other saxophone players will be lacking but it will also be a great way to relax, meditate and bring down your blood pressure.

What are the barriers to you committing to paying for private lessons every week? "I can't afford it" Really?" - but paying 5.00 + for Starbucks several times a week is affordable. "It takes too long for me to be able to play my favorite songs." - Can you speed up the time it takes to deliver a baby? Can you get your Doctorate degree in 2 years? Can you finish your 400 page book in 5 minutes? I believe you know the answers to these questions in this "microwave society." You want the prize? It takes time that you can't speed up at will. Have patience and be consistent, and THEN you will see your reward manifesting right before your eyes. So it takes you a month to get the correct breathing process down. So what? Now you have mastered a key principle that you will use for the rest of your life. Be thankful. 🙂

What does Commitment mean to you sax players or aspiring sax players? What goals have you set for yourself musically for the next 6 months? How are you going to get there realistically? Where do you want to be on your horn in 6 months to a year? Are you ready to get off the fence and make a real difference with your horn? Are you really? hmm? The proof is in your action. NOW is the time!
How has the sound been of your saxophone coming through your we**am? I had to get different gear so my horn wouldn't just sound like distortion coming through online. Anybody have experiences pro or con??

Do you think that learning how to play the saxophone on YouTube videos is good enough to teach you correctly how to play? Do you think that you can master correct diaphragmatic breathing by watching a video a few times is enough for you to breathe like master saxophone players? Do you think you can stay motivated to be 'on it' every day by solely watching someone else play? Think again and contact me so you can do it right.

Here's a classic video of my teacher, Eddie Harris, live at the Montreux Festival, playing one of his originals, Kathleen's Theme - You have to appreciate what true genius looks like and sounds like -
Eddie Harris - Kathleen's Theme - Live at Montreux 1969 Eddie Harris performs "Kathleen's Theme" live at Montreux Jazz Festival 1969.
What do you do when you get that little cut under your lower lip from playing? Stop and let it heal back up? Stop practicing for a while telling yourself that you have to let it heal? Get discouraged because you can't play as long like that? Think that the cut is a 'Rite of Passage' and you continue to get hurt more thinking that you are a man/woman and you aren't a wimp, you can take it? You get blood on your reed and think that you are just paying the dues you need to pay? --- See, this is why you need a private teacher to answer these questions for you and give you some reassurance that you are doing it just right, or not. Before I was blessed with studying with Eddie Harris, I thought the crazy things I mentioned above; blood on the reed? NOT - Get in touch with me before you hurt yourself! -lol
What do you really want to do with your life? Are you satisfied hanging out on the fence and watching others experience their dreams while you sit there and watch? Playing the saxophone takes serious work, dedication and a lot of patience, but in the end, it is worth it for those who see themselves playing songs that sound fantastic and touches their heart like nothing else in the world. If Procrastination is your friend, I suggest getting new friends
