TNBW is an independent citizens’ organization which is firmly non-political and non-religious.

Beverly Block Watch is a faction of the Toledo Neighborhood Block Watch (TNBW) program, a 501(c)2 organization affiliated with the City of Toledo and the Toledo Police Department’s Division of Community Services. A block watch survey was recently administered to a small sample of residents, and the results will be shared with the public in the near future. Despite our sector's lower crime rates, it is essential to maintain a block watch to ensure continued public safety.

The mayor's goal of increasing Toledo's population requires more than just having good amenities. Residents seek safe, livable neighborhoods with good schools, affordable housing, and well-paying jobs. A block watch can help create such environments.

The term 'Block Watch' may be unfamiliar to many. What is the purpose and function of a Block Watch, and how can we encourage community participation? There has been discussion about renaming 'Block Watch' to something like 'The Beverly Neighborhood Group' or 'The Beverly Community Group.' What motivates or discourages individuals from attending block watch meetings? The city is working to expand block watch initiatives throughout Toledo and redefine their purpose.
