Hi Tinton Falls community! It's been a while! Blowing the dust of the page because we need your help!
Last week, four of your neighbors on the north end of town, along the Swimming River, received a letter from an environmental consulting firm to notify us that a wetland delineation would be performed on the other side of the river in Middletown/Lincroft by the property owner, AvalonBay Communities, Inc. This company builds large apartment complexes and after reviewing their 70-page permit application (delineation already performed), it appears that they wish to build (presumably apartments) on that 35+ acre plot of land. This will undoubtedly cause the river to change, affecting the ecosystem, including at least two pairs of nesting bald eagles, it will reduce property values and increase traffic, among other concerns. Lora is writing to NJDEP to provide supporting evidence to not allow this land to be developed and has created a change.org petition. Please consider signing. The more support we have, the better. Creative Aging Initiative Grant Program is Accepting Applications Email
The Creative Aging Initiative Grant provides $10,000 to eligible art organizations, libraries, veteran homes, and community centers. This grant can be used to cover two eight-day in-house residencies for New Jersey artists aged 55 and over. For guidelines visit the New Jersey Arts Council at https://nj.gov/state/njsca/.

Apparently today is National One-Liners Day!
One-Liners Day is celebrated every year on January 21st in honor of the classic one-liners that have left us stunned, momentarily confused, or rolling on the floor laughing with tears in our eyes. Did you know the first piece of comedy was written over 2,500 years ago in ancient Greece? One-liners are jokes or witty remarks or answers delivered in a single line or sentence.
Some famous movie examples:
