This Earth Month, Natural Grocers is proud to once again partner with Rodale Institute, supporting the next generation of regenerative organic farmers. 🌱

Today, less than 1% of U.S. farmland is certified organic and we have a need for more organic farmers, from beginners to seasoned professionals. Through the Rodale Institute Farmer Training (RIFT) program, select aspiring farmers train for careers in organic agriculture.

Meet Isidra Garcia, a recent graduate of the RIFT Program and 2026 Second‑Year Fellow who mentors incoming participants while refining her farm management skills. She plans to farm her own land and create educational content that helps people better understand organic food, farming, and how everyday choices support the earth.

Nutritional Health Coach at our Fredericksburg, TX store, Daveed, was proud to support the 50th Anniversary of America’s Walking Club, founded right here in the community 50 years ago. Nearly 150 participants joined from across the U.S. and even Europe to honor the club’s legacy.

Daveed connected with attendees at a tabletop featuring fresh fruit, giveaways, coupons, and educational resources. The response was overwhelmingly positive with excited participants ready to engage, refuel, and learn more about how we support health and wellness in the communities we serve!

Daveed was honored to accept an Appreciation Award on behalf of Natural Grocers® for our continued community support. Thank you, Daveed, for showing up for the Fredericksburg community and living out our Five Founding Principles.
