Introducing Las Rancheritas, a group of rug hooking women from the farming village of Agustin Gonzales in Mexico. These women have been selling their hooked rugs to help pay for seeds, school supplies for their children, medical expenses, etc.
We are so happy to announce that over 40 of their patterns can now be purchased for your hooking pleasure. All profit from the sale of the pattern goes directly to the lady who did the design. What a win/win situation.....we get to do a fun hooking project and we are helping some very industrious women to improve their lives.
Their designs represent much of their life and culture......very fun!

Over the HIlls is a "fantasy, landscape, sunset". The hills are hooked with wool strips, and the sunset is hooked with vibrant colored yarns. Great hit and miss project!

Tree Scape, by Aslan Rug Designs, was hooked with yarn....puffy yarn for the clouds :) I think this would also be fun with the trees hooked in whimsical colors.

Since I do "in home" dog boarding, I have been improving the pet gates that I have in our home. My husband built this gate for me...easy to open against the walls when we have no guest dogs here. Then I designed a rug hooking for each panel of the gate and hooked it with yarn. A very fun project!

Dragonfly in Vines has just been completed. It is hooked entirely with yarn. All of the yarn for the dragonfly itself has a metallic thread in it, so the dragonfly seems to shimmer.
