This week, the North Area TRT is training on structural collapse fundamentals, specifically breaking, breaching, and burning. Crews from Fire Departments across the North Denver and Boulder metros came together to hone their skills on clean and dirty concrete breach techniques, as well as torch cutting and weight calculations. These skills are critical in large-scale disaster incidents involving collapsed structures where people may be trapped requiring rescue.

Great gondola evac training at Waterworld this week. We had NATRT members from North Metro, Brighton, Arvada, Adams County, South Adams County, Thornton and of course our host Federal Heights. We only had to bail off the cars for severe spring weather (lightning) once…😆
