Warm temperatures, some minor chances for thunderstorm for Thornton’s weekend. We continue the very warm weather through the weekend. While there are a couple chances for thunderstorms, it isn’t looking like it will amount to much. Friday will be a pleasant day with sunny skies and highs in the mid-80s. It will be a bit breezy. Tonight, lows will dip to the mid to upper 50s under mostly clear skies. Saturday will be the warmest day of the three-day period. Highs will reach the low to mid-90s under mostly sunny skies. It will again be a bit breezy. The evening brings just a slight chance for a thunderstorm. Sunday is the first day of astronomical summer and we see largely typical conditions. Sunny skies start the day off then there will be some afternoon clouds. Highs will reach the upper 80s. The afternoon and evening do offer up a chance for some showers and thunderstorms. Thursday in Thornton to offer up warm temperatures, pleasant conditions. A little bit of improvement from yesterday’s very warm weather in store for us today. We start out cooler and won’t be quite as warm while enjoying calm conditions. Sunny skies start us off and while we might see a cloud or two later, they won’t amount to much. Overall conditions will be calm with some slightly breezy winds late in the day. High temperatures will be topping out right near the 90 degree mark. Tonight, it remains calm with mostly clear skies. As the workday comes to an end, it is still quite toasty out there. Thornton topped out at 92 degrees, a bit cooler than expected due to the cold front arriving earlier than expected this morning. A reinforcing bit of cold air arrives tonight and that will allow temperatures tonight to cool to the mid-50s, much better than the "low" we saw this morning of 67 degrees. Tomorrow, it remains sunny and highs will top out right near the 90 degree mark.

Fascinating technology and, if it works, could make a difference, especially in years like this that are so dry.

Wednesday to offer up very warm temperatures, breezy winds in Thornton. A bit of a blast furnace kind of day today. We will see mercury readings well above average and breezy winds pushing that heat into your face. Sunny skies will be above throughout the day. Conditions will be dry. Winds will be slightly breezy this morning, picking up in the afternoon when gusts will reach around 30mph. High temperatures will top out in the mid-90s, about 10 degrees above average. Very warm temperatures, plenty of sun for Thornton’s Tuesday. Summer heat returns. Above normal temperatures, dry conditions to be the rule for the day. Sunny to mostly sunny skies will be above today. Conditions will be calm other than some slightly breezy winds in the mid to late afternoon. We wrap up a nice Monday in Thornton with a pleasant high of 80 degrees. The rest of the week? Well, a good bit less pleasant if you aren't a fan of heat. :-(
