Russell Mason is an American artist. He received a BFA from Pratt Institute in 2004 majoring in painting. He is accepting commissions for original art.
What do you think of my latest mural in Syracuse, NY? Here is the inspiration behind the work, from building/business owner Paul Zobel:
Growing up on the upper Westside of NYC in the 70’s. There used to be an older guy on his late 60’s or 70’s that would roller skate up and down Broadway. He wore shorts, no shirt and a whistle he would blow while skating through the streets .
He would look at you and say in an enthusiastic voice: “You have to use it or lose it ! “
Our business focuses on helping people prepare for retirement . I wanted to channel his energy and enthusiasm for life in later years.
