After selling down over half the herd this year, I’m so excited to see how some of these unique replacements grow into their places within the herd!!

Today was a sad day for Star 7 Ranch as we said goodbye to the Matriarch of the herd - S7R Miss Keeley. She was 13 years old and has influenced our herd so much. The majority of baldies go back to her, and she was my one Meyer 734 granddaughter. Pictured below are some of the babies, grandbabies and great grandbabies she left us with along with her latest baby, S7R Keeleys Reign, she made sure to get here healthy before she passed. Rest easy big girl!! 💕

Got this momma who has been amazing. She’s turning 10 this year, and I’m culling all my 10 and aboves to help pay for hay. Still has some good calves left in her and moves smoothly. Is bred back to the same sire of all the calves pictured in the collage. I’m offering her up for 900, which is less than I got at salebarn last week for a 12 year old, but I hate to see her go to salebarn as good as she is. If you want a unique baby maker here she is!!

I think this little bull would be a good reason for us to start showing again - Simmental Built Right, Power Drive and 600U on dams side and Shorthorn Little Cedar Cabrera on the sires side!!!

All the back cows decided to come up and take advantage of the barn being cleaned out. They’re not worried about the coming winter weather lol!!!

Talking about a dream and a plan ….. I saw my first red roan shorthorn in 2013 and imagined how much more gorgeous she would be if she were a blue roan!! At this time I started dreaming!! I then thought I’m going to make me a blue roan Simmental one way or another (even at a high percentage). I bred that Shorthorn to a black Simmie bull and got Cinnamon, my gorgeous deep maroon halfblood. No amount of money could have made me part with her because I was on a mission lol! I waited patiently for her to mature and then three calves later got the calf I wanted ….. but it was a HE- Not what I wanted. Still he was gorgeous too and beautiful blue with a white face and now 3/4 Simmie!!! I then waited not so patiently for Revelation to mature - cause he’s still a little short and maturing - and bred him to every heifer he could reach!!!! His calves started hitting this fall, and I was so excited to see the frost/roan coming out on them too. I even got a heifer that was a slight roan. But that elusive one of a kind blue heifer still I waited for - until today!!!!! I’m happy to introduce “Sapphire” 💙💙💙. Also pictured are her siblings as of yet and sire.
