The ASU Native American Alumni Chapter strives to promote the involvement of alumni in support of ASU and ASU Native American students.

Get Involved with the NAAC:
- Attend one of the NAAC General Meetings
- Attend or assist in a NAAC Signature Event like the Josiah N. Moore Banquet or the NAAC Homecoming Event
- Attend or assist in many of the various events throughout the year

The ASU Native American Alumni Chapter collected donations to assemble snack bags for our Indigenous students to encourage them through finals week! 😁

We would like to thank Eileen Allison for taking the lead on collecting donations and preparing the snack bags for our Indigenous Sun Devils!! We would also like to thank and .aip for helping organize and distribute the bags on each of our 4 ASU campuses. And a HUGE thank you to all those who donated this year to support our Indigenous students! A great team effort by our ASU Alums! 😈🔱

We are excited to have Jason Coochwytewa as a guest speaker! Jason is Isleta Pueblo and Hopi, and was named one of the 2025 Top 16 Leaders by Greater Phoenix In Business Magazine, recognizing influential leaders shaping the region’s future. He is a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of experience in marketing, communications, and event production, and serves as CEO of Urias Communications, an award-winning Phoenix-based advertising and public relations agency specializing in diverse markets and brand management at local, national, and international levels.

Before joining Urias Communications, Jason led large-scale event productions nationwide, including projects with the Super Bowl, Sturgis, the Dick Clark American Bandstand Complex, and major Native organizations such as the National Indian Gaming Association, Phoenix Indian Center, Arizona Indian Gaming Association, and NABI Foundation, where he co-produced the first Native American powwow held in an NFL stadium.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Arizona State University and serves on several boards, including the Arizona Science Center (Government & Community Relations Chair and Indigenous Exhibit Chair), Western National Parks (Cultural Stewardship Chair), the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Arizona (Board President), and the Arizona Secretary of State’s Business Advisory Council. He is a graduate of Valley Leadership and a member of Greater Phoenix Leadership. Jason is also a former board member of ASU’s Native American Alumni Association.

Jason has received numerous honors, including recognition from the Phoenix Business Journal and the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development, being named Outstanding American Indian Man of the Year, and leading Urias Communications as it was honored Business of the Year by the Arizona American Indian Excellence in Leadership Awards. He was also recognized by the Arizona Diamondbacks for supporting the launch of Major League Baseball’s first Native American Recognition Day.
