Heads up golfers! Ken McDonald and Rolling Hills golf courses will be closed June 29 and 30 for the courses to be transitioned under new management. The courses will reopen Saturday, July 1.

A management and operations transition along with capital improvements will soon be coming to Ken McDonald Golf Course thanks to a new public-private partnership with CourseCo.

Starting July 1, CourseCo will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the golf course, pro shop and clubhouse. On May 18, Tempe City Council voted to approve the lease agreement for the city-owned course.

The Tempe City Council will consider a proposed public-private partnership for operations and maintenance at the city’s Ken McDonald Golf Course during a public hearing at its May 4 Regular Council Meeting. A second public hearing and Council vote is scheduled for May 18.

Traffic alert: Rolling Hills Golf Course

Improvements, including renovations to the clubhouse and the addition of night golf, will soon be coming to Rolling Hills Golf Course thanks to a new public-private partnership with Grass Clippings.

Starting July 1, Grass Clippings will be responsible for the operations, maintenance and capital improvements of the golf course, pro shop and clubhouse. On March 2, Tempe City Council voted to approve the lease and development agreement for the city-owned course.

It sure is windy out there! We're closing the driving range at Ken McDonald Golf Course for the remainder of the day today due to weather and wind.

The Tempe City Council will consider a proposed public-private partnership for operations and maintenance at the city’s Rolling Hills Golf Course during a public hearing at its Feb. 16 Regular Council Meeting. A second public hearing and Council vote is scheduled for March 2.

The proposal, which is revised from a prior plan, outlines Grass Clippings' proposed improvements to the property. The existing course footprint and layout would remain, with minor modifications on hole nine. Anticipated rates and discounts are also outlined in the proposed agreement.
