SLG has been a beautiful family to me, it has built me to be a true woman of distinction and I take pride and responsibility in that everyday. The sisterhood I found here won’t be found elsewhere, and the women I found here definitely won’t be found elsewhere either as they are all so special and one of a kind. I am grateful for the time I spent here and I’ll be sure to carry every value with me in this life time. Thank you so much Sister, love you Hermanas 🩷💜

Since crossing into Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc., I have found the sxsters I never had but always wished for. I remember starting college so unsure of what was to come or even what to be prepared for. If you had asked me then if I thought I would one day join such an amazing sorority filled with beautiful, intelligent, supportive, and inspiring women, I probably would’ve thought you were joking. Yet here I am, and I truly wouldn’t want it any different!
These remarkable women have become some of the most cherished people in my life. They have stood by me through stressful nights, shared unforgettable memories, and filled our time together with laughter that made our stomachs hurt. They have been there for me during my lowest moments, offering support when I needed it the most. Because of them, I have grown into a stronger and more confident version of myself; they have truly shown me what genuine sxsterhood feels like.
As I reflect on our time together, it’s a bittersweet realization that it has gone by so quickly. The love and bond I have found within Sigma Lambda Gamma is something I will carry with me forever. This sorority has given me not only friendships but also a family and a place I can truly call home away from home. Sxsters for life 💕💜🪽

Thanks to SLG, I have been able to find an amazing sisterhood that allowed me to grow, be more confident in myself and make friends to love for a lifetime. It gave me a sense of community in a place where many tend to feel small and a place to use my voice to encourage and motivate others. To my beautiful chapter, amazing lineage and educators and finally, my precious poderosas, you guys have taught me what it’s like to be a woman of distinction not only through words but by actions as well. Thank you for keeping me afloat throughout difficult times and supporting me with whatever I chose to do. I will forever be happy that whenever I see the colors of pink and purple, I have the blessing of always thinking of you guys, my Fine and Dangerous Pi Delta. 🩷💜

Bachelor’s of Arts in Elementary Education
Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. gave me the space to grow into the woman I am today, and for that I will always be grateful. These women of distinction made my undergraduate experience truly unforgettable. From my precious ship, G.S. Poderosas, to my beautiful Gamma Mom & Gamma Daughters and incredible seeds, G.S. Zarela, Pi Delta became a home because of them. Through this sisterhood, I found something greater than myself, a community where I was cared for just as deeply as I cared for others. As I close this chapter of my undergraduate journey, I leave with lifelong friendships and memories I will cherish forever. Gracias a mis hermanas por vida 🩷💜

The women I have met during my undergraduate journey in Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. have been exactly what was missing in my life. I have met some of the most genuine, supportive, and grounding women that I didn’t even realize I needed until I found them. I have met individuals I truly will never forget and who I can see remaining in my life moving forward. This experience has taught me how to be a big sister when I’ve only ever been the little one, and it has helped me grow in ways I will carry with me forever.
It has shown me the importance of connection, leadership, and love within community, and how powerful it is to be surrounded by the right people at the right time.

Captain ☸️ of GS Poderosas
Major: BS of Economics
Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. gave me friendships and memories that’ll last a lifetime. I never considered joining a sorority before until I came across the Gammas, in which they showed me what it’s like to be surrounded by loving, supporting and inspirational women. Throughout my time as an active member, I got to hold various positions such as VP of Finance and Co-Educator for GS Zarela that have shaped my experiences today. I became more confident in my career, academics, and professional thanks to them. These are skills that will translate into success in my personal career.
Aside from the professionalism, I was filled with the most love and support I’ve ever experienced. Through rough times, my sisters were always there. They became my voice when I had none, and that is something I will be eternally grateful. Because of them, they transformed my college experience into one of hope, support, and community. I am incredibly blessed to have gotten the chance to become a sister, and to be surrounded by women of distinction. I am even more blessed to know that we’ll be sisters for life.
