Last month Rhino Tennessee partnered for a second time with client venue Marathon Music Works to host a "Stagehand Field Day". As for the first time, five different training stations were set up and trainees moved between them. Rigging Awareness For Stagehands was taught by Joey Shrik (Rigging Manager) and Matthew Shoemaker (Asst. Rigging Manager); Proper Lifting & Communication was taught by Felix Taylor (Field Supervisor); Audio Basics & Signal Flow was taught by John Meyers (Field Supervisor); and Carpentry & Stagehand 101 taught by Matt Stokes (Field Supervisor) and Jay Ripka (stagehand); and Scissor Lift Certification taught by Mike Harbin (Asst. Director of Safety, Training & Rigging). Well done to all the trainers and trainees and a huge THANK YOU! to MMW for their ongoing partnership with us in professional development.

Dear Rhinos, We have recently updated our Competent Ground Rigger and Competent High Rigger training materials. If you are a Rhino in good standing, have passed our basic rigging training, and have completed down rigging field training (or have equivalent work experience), you may be qualified to take our Competent Ground Rigger training. If you have done all of the above AND have completed our Competent Ground Rigger training and our Fall Protection Rescue training, you may be qualified for our Competent High Rigger training. For more information on these trainings and whether you qualify, speak to your rigging manager.

Well wishes to participants in today's 110th running of the Indianapolis 500. It gets underway in just over an hour. In the meantime, we look back to March and Rhinos Richie Amico, Lyle Cox, and Brandon LaDuc posing with the "Marmon Wasp" at Nashville's Music City Center. The Wasp, winner of the first 500 in 1911, featured then at the TMC's Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition and these Rhinos had the honor of rolling her out onto the event floor. Well done, Rhinos! Good luck, racers!

Operations Manager Marina Redoblado led six Rhinos thru the boom lift training Supervisor Joe Rupkey led nine thru the scissor lift. Thanks to our amazing partners at the AVA and well done to Marina, Joe and all the trainees. Go Rhino!

Rhinos were on site at Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto, CA earlier this month to assist in laying the field protective surface. BTS's ARIRANG tour tonight completes a three show run at the stadium after which the Nor Cal crash will be there to pull up what they earlier laid down. Stay safe and rock on, Rhinos. 🦏

Dear Rhinos, the hot summer months are dead ahead and practicing Heat Illness Prevention (HIP) is key to your staying well while working outdoors during this period. Heat illness is a serious, even life-threatening condition and we urge you to read our HIP document and adopt the practices detailed in it. Your health and well-being may depend on it. Find it 24/7 (along with other safety and training materials) on the Rhino Employee Portal. :) 🦏

Rhino Georgia staff seen here last month in the calm-before-the-storm. Since then they've been buzzing with activity, including the first-ever "Between the Hedges" concert - headlined by Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean - at the University of Georgia's Sanford Stadium and made a home-away-from-home of the Georgia World Congress Center for the likes of the Red Hat and Dreamhack expos. If you have friends or family in the Peach State looking for work, Rhino GA is hiring. If you are a Rhino employee, make sure they state you as their reference on their application to make you eligible to earn a Rhino Employee Referral Program award!

Rhino South Carolina crew members were recently on site (and looking sharp!) in Jervey Meadows at Clemson University for a Jake Owen tour date. We are hiring more Rhinos to join these, and if you are our employee and have family & friends in S.C. that you'd like to refer to us for employment, we'd like to reward you for doing so. See http://www.joinrhino.com for program referral and application details. You can, of course, apply without a reference!
