Forgiveness
• Internal act: Forgiveness is something you do within yourself. It’s about letting go of anger, resentment, or the desire for revenge.
• One-sided: You can forgive someone even if they never apologize, admit fault, or change.
• Freedom for you: It releases you from carrying the burden of bitterness. Forgiveness is about healing your heart, not necessarily repairing the relationship.

Reconciliation
• Relational act: Reconciliation is when two people (or parties) repair and restore trust in the relationship.
• Two-sided: It requires willingness, effort, accountability, and often change from both sides.
• Conditional: Forgiveness can exist without reconciliation, but reconciliation cannot exist without forgiveness first.
