The AIS Sluggers brought home the win.
Our team, competing in the Tempe, AZ Recreation Co-ed Softball League, finished the season as division champions, taking 1st place in the end-of-season tournament.
A great example of teamwork on display outside the jobsite and a reminder that the same collaboration and competitiveness that drives our work carries over into everything we do.
Congrats to the AIS Sluggers on a strong season.
Putting Human Behavior into action starts with how we plan, communicate, and respond in the moment.
At AIS, our Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) approach focuses on how work gets done—recognizing that people are fallible and building systems that support better, safer decisions.
That shows up in the field through things like:
• Pausing to Stop, Think, Act, and Review (STAR) before and during tasks
• Maintaining a questioning attitude and stopping work when something isn’t clear
• Following procedures intentionally and adjusting when conditions change
• Strengthening pre-task planning to identify risks before work begins
HOP keeps the focus on learning, awareness, and improvement—so we can reduce risk and support safe outcomes across every job.

At AIS, we’re focused on building a true Destination Workplace—where employees feel connected, supported, and inspired to grow across our Operational Companies.
In a multi-OpCo environment, a strong partnership between HR and Operations is critical. The best engagement strategies don’t come from corporate alone—they come from listening to our field teams, sharing best practices across OpCos, and creating learning opportunities that support real operational needs.
When HR and Operations work together, we create stronger leaders, better employee experiences, and a culture people want to be part of.
The goal isn’t just consistency—it’s connection across the enterprise.
Note: During our recent visit for NWDD, the AIS HR team was in an office setting, not an active job site. No operational work was taking place at the time.

Safety is personal—and it starts with how we show up every day.
This week, we’re focusing on Human Behavior—the role each of us plays in creating a safe, accountable, and high-performing work environment.
From taking personal responsibility and speaking up, to using Stop Work Authority and applying our Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) principles, this reinforces that safe outcomes are driven by everyday decisions and actions.
Because when individuals take ownership, safety becomes more than a priority—it becomes part of how we work.
Later this week, you’ll see this in action at AIS.

As we kick off our series, we’re looking back at highlights from projects delivered by AIS companies.
For this Flashback Friday, we’re spotlighting F.D. Thomas and their work on the Las Vegas Sphere project in Las Vegas, Nevada.
F.D. Thomas supported the project by performing structural steel painting and specialty coatings work, contributing to the construction of a highly complex entertainment venue with demanding quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
Projects like this reflect the depth of expertise across our operating companies and the important role they play in supporting complex builds across industries.
We’re looking forward to sharing more Flashback Friday highlights that showcase the people, projects, and operating companies that make up AIS.

Teams across the Tempe office, including AIS employees and team members from several OpCos, recently participated in CPR, AED, and First Aid training through the American Red Cross.
From learning the three Cs — Check, Call, Care — to hands‑on emergency response, this training reflects the initiative our teams are taking to be prepared and support one another when it matters most.
This is what a strong safety culture looks like at AIS.
At AIS, safety starts with toolbox talks. Across our teams, these conversations at the beginning of the week support the work ahead, identify potential risks, and reinforce the safest, most efficient way to get the job done.
They’re not just routine meetings—they’re an opportunity to:
• Take initiative and address risks early
• Set clear expectations
• Create space for open dialogue and raise concerns
• Reinforce a shared commitment to safety from leadership to the field
From leadership huddles to team-level discussions, this approach ensures safety is driven from the top down—and carried through every level of our organization.
Because when communication is open and proactive, safer outcomes follow.

Safety isn’t just what we track—it’s what we prioritize every day.
For National Safety Month, AIS is highlighting the Four Pillars that define our safety culture across every team and job site.
Each week, we’ll focus on one pillar and how it drives safer, more proactive outcomes across our organization.
We’re starting with Leading Indicators—the actions we take to identify risks early, strengthen awareness, and stay ahead of potential issues.
From training and hazard identification to leadership engagement and accountability, this pillar is about focusing on what prevents incidents—not just what happens after.
Later this week, we’ll share how Leading Indicators are put into action across AIS.
