We met 3 years ago. I told her I was not interested in agency work. I was tired of the politics, the billing and efficiency mind, the turn and burn/fill the beds mentality, the daily grind under the false pretense of promoting "self-care,” the loss of relational connection to prioritize roles and rules, the social dominance games and the pathogenic approach so often seen in mental health settings.

With a fierce veracity and fearlessness in her heart, she smiled and said..."Then do it differently."

And so, we did...

TRAUMADDICTION! Simultaneously healing trauma and addiction without overwhelming one's nervous system. Prioritizing human capital (staff) as our greatest resource and pouring love into the wounded healers that have dedicated their lives to service. Launching a new training with Arizona Trauma Institute. I am so excited to share this one as it combines all the goodies I've learned in the last 15 years of clinical practice as well as my own lived experience healing from trauma and addiction. This training is for mental health professionals and includes a deep dive into the application of the Four Active Ingredients for healing trauma specifically as it relates to substance use and addiction.
