February will be the next Songwriting Workshop at Sonoran Arts League in Cave Creek, AZ. Keep reading for the registration below. The cost has been reduced by 20% to try to fill up the classroom. There are plenty of seats and this will really jump-start your songwriting. Email [email protected] or Message me if you would like a copy of the Syllabus. Each week there will be deliverables due, which means you will be writing songs.
Sat. Feb. 4, Week 1: Lyric Structure and Song Sections,
Sat. Feb. 11, Week 2. Rhythm: Syllables, Patterns, Rhythm, Deceptive Closure, and Unexpected closure.
Sat. Feb. 18, Week 3: Writing and Re-writing and Collaboration
Sat. Feb. 25, Week 4 - Sharing and Discussion-performing songs.

IAM will be hosting our first Chris Frazer songwriting event. I'm glad to have Chris onboard with our resurrecting his wonderful idea. I remember back, well over ten years ago, when Chris uses to host songwriting events. Here is how it works: We give one song title and everyone who is interested writes a song using that song title. I decided to get the ball rolling, we will have one month to write the song before we perform them. I will announce the exact date after I confirm that the stage at Jarrod's is available on the day we get together. Here is the title: "Walking Away"
