Harrison Rose Tate
Author. Narrative genre: Psychological fiction, non-fiction. An up-and-coming literary novelist. Lending your support for this local author means everything.
Here's a little bit about ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ป ๐ฅ๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ฒ. Her work spans fiction and nonfiction, but all of it carries the same intent: to preserve what is true, to articulate what has been missed, and to create language for what has not yet been realized. A systems thinker, technologist, and author, her work explores the intersection of cognition, philosophy, culture, and code. With a professional background

"HEAVY METAL IS A SIN IS A DEFINITE FIVE STAR PLUS. READ IT!" โญโญโญโญโญ+
- Lorraine Cobcroft, reviewer, Reedsy Discovery
She adds:
"Harrison Tateโs Heavy Metal is a Sin is short. Itโs only about 20,000 words. I read it in an hour, but it was a deeply rewarding hour. Tate says her books 'trust the reader and intentionally reopen a door of deeply psychological themes: one many thought closed long ago.' She adds, 'if thatโs your style, her books are written for you'. Itโs my style. Because stories like the one Tate tells in Heavy Metal is a Sin need to be told. They need to be passed on through generations. They matter, for the lessons they contain, and for the salute they offer to the people whose perseverance and endurance shaped our world.
I want more of Harrison Rose Tate."

Thank you so much, Reedsy Discovery

The Proxy Condition was selected to appear in the June 2026 issue of Library Bookwatch!
"An original, iconoclastic, seminal, groundbreaking and meticulous study."
The review goes on to recommend The Proxy Condition for personal, professional, community, and college/university library collections, as well as Communications and Media curriculum studies.
It's gratifying to see the book finding readers among librarians, educators, and others interested in the relationship between technology, attention, identity, and human presence.
My thanks to Midwest Book Review and Library Bookwatch, James Cox and John Taylor, for the thoughtful consideration.

If you like your reading reflective, eerie, and laced with quiet tension, Heavy Metal is a Sin was created just for you.
This has been called a deeply absorbing journey that has stayed with many readers. It's easy to feel for these two boys. Heartbreaking at times, and sometimes hilariously ironic, it's based on a true story, of two boys whose lives take many twists and turns as they grow up in the Vietnam era in rural America.
The book won ECS Publishing's Book of the Year award. It is available in both standard and large print format.
I think you'll love Heavy Metal is a Sin!

I am honored to be part of the Eastern Panhandle Library Consortium! Two of my new titles are on the virtual shelf, and physical copies are available at both the Hampshire County Public Library and the North Berkeley Public Library.
If you happen to stop by the library, and the back cover text interests you, it would mean the world to me if you would consider checking them out.
The book "Heavy Metal is a Sin" is not about sins or a musical genre - the title will mean much more as you make your way through the story. It is a quick read at 174 pages. I'd recommend it as a first-read.
My sincere thanks to the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Public Libraries ๐๐ฅฐ

Stopped by the Murrieta Public Library today. Two of my books were front and center, in the first bookcase, right in the main entrance. They had just come in. I'll be honest, it totally caught me off guard.
The Proxy Condition will be hitting their shelves soon!
