Well before the 1909 burger was created, this structure has been home to a trading post, livery, auto shop and most notably a bar. During the 70's, the Longbranch Saloon was known as the roughest place in town to get a drink. Locals often stop in and tell stories of brawls and shootings. In fact, several bullet holes are still in the ceiling. Today, the building serves as an ideal spot for unique food, handcrafted cocktails and craft beer. 1909 has an industrial appearance that is still inviting and fun. Sit on the huge patio for sun and people watching or, sit inside for a pub atmosphere unlike any other in the Temecula valley. We even have dog bowls for our four-legged friends! Whether you come by with the kid's for brunch or late night Saturday with friends, 1909 and the crew are sure to give you a great dining experience in Old Town Temecula.

Rooted in history. Made for today.
We recently had join us for the full 1909 experience, and he later shared it in a feature for taking a look at where 1909 began, how we’ve evolved, and the way we continue to bring a piece of Old Town Temecula’s history into the present.
The article also dives into the food behind the experience, highlighting Culinary Director Chef Carlo Guardado and his approach to seasonality, responsible sourcing, and cooking with fire to bring out the character of every ingredient.
1909 has a story, but we’re not here to simply recreate the past. We’re here to keep building on it.

Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve had the opportunity to support the 20th Annual Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics and host Bingo for a Cause to raise donations for The Unstoppable Ranch and their special-needs animals.
Food and drinks may bring people through our doors, but community is where our heart is.
We’re grateful to have a space that can bring people together, support causes that matter, and give a little back along the way. ❤️

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders, families, and countless individuals forever impacted by that day.
25 years later, we remember the strength, sacrifice, and unity that brought our country together in the face of unimaginable loss.
