Wild Roots Holistic Learning Center
Nature-based outdoor program for children in Staten Island offering exploratory, play-driven classes year-round.
Wild Roots Holistic Learning Center is a private school and child care center for ages 6 weeks to 10 years. Inspired by the Montessori method and Reggio Emilia approach, our early learning center is a unique and engaging environment for young children. In 2020, we launched a beautiful one room schoolhouse for grades 1-5 in which children are invited to find their true calling in life to change the world!
We’re growing… and looking for a heart-led educator to grow with us 🌿
At Wild Roots Holistic Learning Center, our classrooms are filled with curiosity, creativity, and connection. We believe early childhood is sacred—meant to be explored, nurtured, and guided with intention.
If you feel called to support little learners in a Montessori + Reggio inspired environment, we would love to meet you 🤍

April at Wild Roots! 🌼
Bringing our classrooms into full bloom 🌸✨
As the seasons shift, so does our environment… inviting fresh inspiration, new materials, and endless opportunities for little hands to explore, create, and discover.
This spring, our spaces are blossoming with color, curiosity, and intention 🌿 From delicate flower work to vibrant, hands-on learning tools, each shelf has been thoughtfully refreshed to spark imagination, independence, and joy.
There’s something so magical about watching children step into a “new” space… their eyes light up, their creativity awakens, and their learning deepens in the most beautiful, natural way.
Here’s to a season of growth, wonder, and little seeds blossoming in every corner of our classrooms 🌼

Bringing in a colorful spring 🌸✨
Our classrooms are blooming with beauty and coming alive with creativity and imagination.
From delicate snips to thoughtfully arranged bouquets, our children explored flower arrangement through hands-on work—strengthening fine motor skills, deepening focus, and filling their spaces with joy and intention.
A heartfelt thank you to our Wild Roots families for the beautiful flower donations that made this experience so special 💐
Happy Spring, Wild Roots family 🌿
We are so grateful to grow alongside you.
We hope your March is filled with brightness and hope.

Next parent and me is coming up this Thursday March 12 from 3-4:15. We encourage non-enrolled families who are interested in our curriculum to come explore our school environment and cultivate a bonding experience with your kiddo.
A joyful burst of color, laughter, and friendship! 🌈
Our Wild Roots community celebrated Holi, the festival of colors—reminding us that learning is brightest when we celebrate culture, kindness, and play together. We welcome spring with gleeful hearts and excitement! 🌼
Well that’s a wrap on Kindness month! 🫶🏻💐
Our children were beaming as they shared thoughtful gifts, special learning tools, and tiny “love bombs” filled with words of affirmation for their friends.
Parents joined in too — gifting to classrooms, to teachers, and to their own little ones in such meaningful ways.
After the rain came the sunshine… and with it, beautiful days of connection, growth, and tender bonding moments that we know will stay in their hearts long after February.

This is what it looks like when a school becomes a community. 🌿✨

Adults must defend children. We adults must see the real humanity in children, the humanity which will take our place one day, if we are to have social progress. Social progress means that the next generation is better than the one before. ”
