For the month of July, our advanced group class crowned 2 co-champions; Andre King (right) and Noah Soules (left)!!! 👏🏆🏆 Heading into the final round, Andrew held a half pount lead over Noah. When Noah won convincingly in his game, and Andre went down a piece in his game, it looked like Noah would take clear 1st, but then Andre showed his endgame prowess that he is becoming known for, as he salvaged a draw in the game and tied the score for the month! The summer has been surprisingly busy!Summer camp batch 1 and 2 were both full to near capacity. Regular group class and advanced group class have also been much more numerous than usual for June and July.
In TCC 154, Marius Lucan took 1st, Avinaya Subedi took 2nd, and Justice Stephens, Joe Walley, and Jacob Koral tied for 3rd. Also Jeremy Farr and John Barraco saw large rating gains. (pictures 1&2) In advanced kids group class, newcomer Andre King has taken the lead with the last round to be played on Friday (picture 3)

📢 Important Announcement

Due to unavoidable circumstances, we regretfully have had to make changes to this week's schedule.

Friday's Advanced Class (July 24) has been canceled and will resume on Monday, July 27.
Junior Joust has been postponed from July 25 to Saturday, August 1 at 2:00 PM.

We sincerely apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

We simply must congratulate and acknowledge the one and only Yuechen Yu for his conquest of June Advanced class, which propelled him to well over 1100 OTB rating and netted him another monthly prize gift card to his preferred Cane's Chicken. We must also thank him for his selfless and reliable service to the club during both summer camps and regular group class. Mr. Yu, you are a gift to us and we thank you. You are family here always.
