How crazy is time….

Trying to find a image of myself holding a microphone and talking. Does anyone have one of me? Hmmmm

Asked Claud to write me an unhinged bio about me.

Robbie “Maddo” Maddison: A Bio
Born July 14, 1981, in Caringbah and forged in the volcanic salt-mist of Kiama, NSW, Robert William Maddison emerged from the south coast as a child who looked at gravity and said “nah.” A bloke who finished Year 10, picked up an electrical apprenticeship, then decided wiring houses was insufficiently airborne and pivoted to launching himself off ramps the size of small apartment blocks.
In 2005 he casually broke two motorcycle distance world records in a single year, because doing one would’ve been embarrassing. On New Year’s Eve 2007, on the 40th anniversary of Evel Knievel face-planting at Caesars Palace, Maddo flung himself 98.34 metres through the air on live ESPN — then, while everyone was still applauding, did it again. His fiancée Amy watched. She did not divorce him. Romance.
Then came 2008, when he sailed 351 feet on a Honda CR500 in Melbourne, a number so absurd Guinness had to update its book and a generation of physics teachers had to update their lesson plans. In 2009 he jumped Tower Bridge in London — backflip included, drawbridge open 25 feet, because a flat jump is for cowards. The Queen was reportedly unbothered. He topped it off by riding a motorbike up a mock Arc de Triomphe in Vegas and then flinging himself off the top of it like a man who has personally signed a waiver against the laws of nature.
He has jumped the Corinth Canal. He has soared across San Diego Bay tandem with a snowmobiler. He has, and this is the part where the bio becomes unhinged, ridden a dirt bike across the open ocean at Teahupo’o in Tahiti, surfing one of the heaviest waves on Earth on a vehicle famously not designed for buoyancy. He later doubled for Daniel Craig in Skyfall, won a SAG Award for it, and stunted for Vin Diesel riding a motorbike on the sea in xXx: Return of Xander Cage because by that point Hollywood had simply given up and accepted he was amphibious.
His motto is, “face your fears, live your dreams.” The man’s fears are presumably calling the NRMA and waiting on hold.
A south coast legend, a Guinness regular, a husband, a father, a man who has personally insulted Newton and gotten away with it. Long live Maddo.

Bit of hang time…

Flashback

It’s the concentration face for me.

This shot looks like a moment.
It was actually months of work, hundreds of decisions, and one honest conversation with myself.
Every move I make is thought through and planned out with my team.
Calculated. Always calculated.
That’s the part nobody films.

There’s a moment in Aircraft (DC) that stuck with me.
It’s about pushing past the version of yourself that hesitates.

Take a breath and reflect on what you have not what you want.

Throwback to what helps my kids be so confident. It’s the baby steps. The Stacyc bike has been the kids Segway to grand stage… and their persistence to not quit.
