Executive Chef Jonathan Alcala

Raised on family gatherings centered around carne asada, fresh seafood, and weekends spent fishing with his father, Chef Jon’s connection to food began long before his professional career.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, his approach is rooted in California cuisine, celebrating seasonal ingredients, local partnerships, and the incredible agricultural abundance of our region.

Today, Chef Jon leads the culinary vision at Corkfire, where the menu continues to evolve through a garden-and-flame philosophy. Fresh ingredients from the Chef’s Garden, thoughtfully sourced products, and live-fire cooking come together to create dishes that are vibrant, seasonal, and deeply connected to place.

His commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation continues to shape the next chapter of Corkfire.

Meet Heather R ✨| Director of Sales & Service

From unforgettable weddings to high-impact corporate events, Heather has seen it all and brings a signature blend of creativity, calm, and professionalism to every program she touches.

One of the most unique weddings she has ever supported was a breathtaking Hindu celebration where the bride flew to India to source her attire and décor. The result was so stunning it was later published. On the corporate side, Heather once assisted with a product launch that featured a live elephant walking through the ballroom for the big reveal.

Her secret to keeping events running smoothly comes down to a simple philosophy. Inspect what you expect. Triple check every detail, stay flexible, and remember that guests only know what you’ve shared with them. There is no need to sweat the small stuff.

When it comes to special requests, nothing shocks Heather anymore. She has seen everything from skydivers and live flames to sneaking celebrities through back hallways and working alongside secret service. Every program brings a new story.

For her wedding couples, Heather always offers one heartfelt reminder. Take a quiet moment during the celebration to pause with your fiancé and look around at all the love and support surrounding you. Carry that into your marriage.

When an emergency strikes? Safety pins and a tide pen have saved the day more times than she can count.

If she could plan an event anywhere in the world, Heather would choose a historic European castle. She loves architecture that holds centuries of stories and would relish bringing an event to life in a place with that much character.

And if meetings had a theme song, Heather is confident hers would be “One More Time” by Daft Punk.

Heather has been part of the Temecula Creek Inn family for over six years, welcoming guests with the warmth and hospitality that define our property.

If she could choose a dream guest to host, it would be Joanna Gaines. Heather admires her eye for design and her love for creating meaningful, inviting spaces, which she feels would make for a perfect stay here at the Inn.

On her ideal day off in Temecula, Heather would start with coffee at Le Coffee Shop in Old Town, spend some time at the driving range, enjoy lunch and tastings at a few wineries, and finish the evening with dinner at a favorite local spot.
Her number one tip for guests is simple. Take time to slow down. Temecula Creek Inn is all about unwinding, reconnecting, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings that make this place so special.

When she looks back on her years here, her favorite memories always come back to the couples who say “I do” on our grounds. Being part of those love stories is something she considers an incredible honor.
