Our crews have been working through 100+ degree Arizona temperatures, steep mountain terrain, equipment breakdowns, rattlesnakes, and just about every other challenge the desert can throw at them.
The work includes underground copper cable recovery, cable removal from conduit, manhole cable extraction, and underground cable extraction as part of a large-scale telecom network decommissioning project. Once the legacy copper cable is removed, the existing pathways can be cleared and prepared for new conduit installation and future fiber infrastructure.
This is demanding work that takes experienced operators, dependable crews, the right equipment, and the ability to keep moving when conditions get tough.

Arizona Project Update
DEVCO crews are making progress on approximately 175,200 linear feet—more than 33 miles—of trenching through remote and challenging desert terrain. Our crews are exposing and removing the existing direct-buried cable, installing four new microduct conduits, placing detectable warning tape, installing hand vaults and marker posts, and backfilling the alignment with native material.

This scope includes utility verification, potholing, directional boring, steel pipe installation, welding, excavation support, debris haul-off, slurry backfill, and asphalt restoration to keep the project moving safely and efficiently.

🚧 Project Update – Riverside County 🚧
DEVCO is currently underway on a directional drilling project totaling 2,735 linear feet of HDPE installation. The scope includes multiple bores ranging from 4”, 6”, and 12” conduit, all being reamed and pulled as part of ongoing operations.
Our team is also actively supporting the work with hydro excavation for utility verification, bore pit excavation with mini equipment, and backfilling as each phase is completed.

DEVCO recently completed an 80 LF directional bore in Riverside, installing 5” conduit along with full site work and restoration.
