We have been working with to develop a new, shorter, 7” diameter dry sump tank without sacrificing oil control under high g-loads. This new 2.3 gallon tank has a multi level baffling system designed to keep oil over the pickup under extreme lateral forces and still properly vent the blow by gasses while being only 16” tall. If you have limited space in your car this is the tank for you

Crankshaft windage control is critical for a dry sump system to scavenge oil from the crankcase properly. Inadequate windage control causes oil to stay suspended around the rotating assembly, robbing valuable horsepower, and preventing the oil from reaching the scavenge pump pickups. This causes oil to accumulate in the engine at higher RPMs instead of returning to the oil tank, resulting in large oil tank level fluctuations throughout the RPM range. A properly designed system allows for a smaller oil tank, less oil in the system, and consistent oil level in the tank from idle to max RPM.
