Rattlesnake activity is on the rise, so it’s important to stay alert when you’re out with your pet.
Stick to clear paths, keep your pet on a leash, and avoid tall grass or areas where visibility is low. Curious pets can get too close before you even realize it.
If you suspect a snake bite, contact EPIC Vets right away. We’re here 24/7 for emergencies.

As the weather warms up, it’s important to watch for signs of heatstroke in your pet.
Heavy panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or unusual gum color can all be warning signs. These symptoms can escalate quickly, especially in the heat.
If you notice anything concerning, contact EPIC Vets right away. Acting quickly can make all the difference.

If your pet is having an allergic reaction like swelling, hives, or trouble breathing, don’t wait. Bring them to EPIC Vets for emergency treatment. If it's an allergy but not an emergency, talk to your vet!

Mosquito season is back, and so is the risk of heartworm.
It only takes one bite, which is why prevention matters. While we don’t perform heartworm testing at EPIC Vets, we always recommend talking with your primary vet about the best prevention plan for your pet.

At EPIC Vets, we celebrate the bond between pets and their people daily, but May gives us a little extra reason to spoil our furry family. Share a photo of your pet in the comments and tell us what makes them epic!
