We are out of email sends through S’more for the month. Will email to site leaders to forward and work email Monday morning. Will also reach out to personal emails via Action Network.
Tentative Agreement for Compensation 2025-2026 Ratified. One week before the school year ends, but we are not done yet!
Wear Blue on Monday. This is not final until the TVUSD Board approves the TA on June 9th. They will also vote on approving the 2026-2027 Budget (let’s make sure students and classrooms are a priority) and place a bond on the November election for our community to vote to update our crumbling facilities, like decades old portables, where many of our more vulnerable student populations are housed. Without a bond more general fund money goes to leaks and repairs with less to paper and pencils.

Celebrating our Speech Language Pathologists this week for empowering communication, inspiring confidence, and helping every student shine one conversation at a time. Thank you for helping students find their voices, build confidence, and connect with the world around them. Your words matter, and so does the difference you make every day.

We are not done TVEA! Your energy and solidarity enabled your bargaining team to settle this year with a retro. There is still work to do! On Tuesday, at the TVUSD board meeting we start on next year! The students and classrooms of TVUSD, along with the people who serve, must be prioritized in the budget for next year. Join your friends and colleagues on Tuesday at 6pm (Rosatti’s at 4pm), and on June 9th. Let’s see this agreement through and ensure the budget approved makes the right priorities.

Thank you Nurses
On School Nurses Day, we honor the incredible professionals who care for the whole child—supporting student health, safety, and success every single day.
School nurses are trusted advocates, valued members of our school communities, and essential partners in helping students thrive. Their compassion, expertise, and dedication make a lasting difference in the lives of students and families.
Thank you to our school nurses for all you do to keep our schools healthy, safe, and ready to learn. ❤️

Thank you Teachers
This Teacher Appreciation Week, we celebrate the educators who light the way for every student. Like a flashlight in the dark, teachers help students find their path, discover their strengths, and see the possibilities ahead.
Thank you for making the world brighter—one student, one lesson, and one act of kindness at a time. 💡🍎

Healthcare costs are up ⬆️ UP! It is almost May and TVUSD has just started to address the pay cut educators are taking this year and next. Educators you wore blue and attended school board meetings to help elected school board members to recognize 0% is not an option. Their counter 1%.

Solidarity with our brothers and sister who are fighting against unilateral changes to their contract, while sending millions of dollars to outside contracts.
Send a letter to the LLCSD Board and tell them to stop using the students as bargaining chips. Affordable healthcare should not come at the cost of our students. We refuse to trade smaller class sizes and special education support for benefits the district can afford without sacrifice.
