Véraison of another kind. The ripening of our prickly pears align beautifully with the ripening of our grapes. Depending on exactly when they are harvested and fermented together, the flavors can change a lot. We’re down to the last few cases of our 2024 Les Cactus, so grab some soon! She’s a great wine for the hot summer days. You might catch some smokey mezcal notes with a hint of green nopales.

Hey! If you’re new here, we are the couple behind Lost Ranch.
We focus on farming regeneratively and organically, integrating as seamlessly as possible to our natural environment. We care for a small herd of babydoll sheep and a flock of chickens. They help us keep weeds in balance and provide natural compost for our soil.
Joseph is our winemaker and focuses on low intervention winemaking, with a goal of showcasing pureness of the fruit.
Jasmine is our chef, gardener, and designer. She has designed our future winery and tasting room, which is currently under construction.
You can find us at a handful of eateries and bottle shops. We also have a club where you can check out the vineyard, and receive invites to exclusive events if you join!
Thank you for following the progress of Lost Ranch Winery. We appreciate your support!

Our Les Cactus is a coferment of direct press Viognier from Loosen Vineyard and prickly pears sourced from our home ranch. We have an abundance of wild prickly pear cacti, which are very well suited to our warm, arid climate. For the last 5 years, we’ve made this wine as a small hobby production for friends and family. In 2024, we decided to scale it up to bottle a wine to share with everyone. Notes of mezcal and grilled nopales from the prickly pear provide a fun counter balance to the floral crispness of the Viognier. It’s been selling fast, and we’re down to a handful of cases, so pick some up while you can. Cheers!

When I dreamt up of what Lost Ranch would be, it was a place I’d want to sit and enjoy delicious wine, paired with great food and surrounded by good humans. This meal with friends was a dream come true. I’ve grown up around chefs , my Grandparents and my Father. It’s my form of wine making. Food is the pulse of the family. Being able to create a conscious meal sourced by local farmers and farmed organically was a no brainer. To create a seasonal menu with my Grandfather Michael, was beyond special. To pair it all with wine made by my husband was a dream come true, and to spend it along good company made it a wonderful evening in the vines. This is what I hope to continue, to gather around a table, thoughtfully, and remember the purpose of what we are all about. Cheers,
Jasmine
