We’re Nikki & Brooks, living RV life one unplanned stop at a time.

No strict plans, just open roads, unexpected detours, and real adventures—documenting the journey as it unfolds.

🐶⛰️ Before leaving this side of Colorado, we made sure to spend some time in Telluride—and it ended up being one of our favorite stops (even Ringo approved 🐾❤️). The town is incredibly dog-friendly, with no shortage of amazing hikes, mountain views, and places to explore.

We grabbed pizza from a local spot 🍕 and liked it so much that we went back for another slice on our last day. We took a slightly strenuous route up to Bridal Veil Falls 💦 and even stumbled across another waterfall along the way. What we didn't realize until later was that there was a much less rocky route off to the side... whoops 😂.

We also took a ride on the gondola 🚠, and yes, Ringo got to come along too 🐶💙. Between the waterfalls, the views, and exploring town, Telluride was the perfect stop before heading to our next Colorado adventure 🏔️✨.

Fun fact: Telluride is home to the first and only free public transportation gondola in the United States, connecting Telluride and Mountain Village year-round 🚠🤯.

🏔️🚗 From the breathtaking trails and mountain views of Ouray, we hit the legendary Million Dollar Highway with a few scenic pit stops along the way. Every twist and turn brought us closer to Silverton, and as we climbed higher into the mountains, the views just kept getting better! 😍⛰️

It's easy to see why Ouray is called the "Switzerland of America" 🇨🇭❤️. Towering peaks, lush valleys, endless waterfalls, and postcard-worthy scenery surrounded us at every turn. 💦🏔️📸

✨ Fun Fact: The Million Dollar Highway is considered one of the most scenic drives in America, famous for its dramatic mountain passes, stunning overlooks, and sheer drop-offs that will leave you speechless (and maybe gripping the steering wheel a little tighter! 😅).

This stretch of Colorado completely stole our hearts. Between the waterfalls, alpine views, and charming mountain towns, it felt like we had stepped into another world. 🌲💙

Have you driven the Million Dollar Highway before? What's the most beautiful road trip you've ever taken? 🚙👇

Some Rocky Mountain Magic ⛰️✨️

Our first national park in Colorado was the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, and it quickly became one of our favorite lunch spots. 🏞️ We had views of the San Juan Mountains, glimpses of the river below, and plenty of wildlife to keep an eye out for. 🦌🦅

Fun fact: In the late 1800s, survey crews exploring the canyon used inflatable rubber air mattresses to help navigate the river. 🤯 Standing at the rim and looking down, I can't even imagine being brave enough to try that!

Safe to say we'll stick to enjoying the views from above. 😂🌄
