Melat at the BlackBox?!

We are extremely proud to announce that we’re bringing out the most special of guests on Saturday’s show, our friend, who currently is the leading ticket in the race for Colorado’s first congressional district, downtown Denver: Melat Kiros !

At a time when public trust in government has reached an all-time low, we could not be more excited by this grassroots, people-powered campaign. We are endorsing Melat because we know that if elected, she will fight for all the things she has campaigned on, from getting money out of politics to advocating for more diplomacy instead of wars, as well as championing environmental protections, and so much more. We are especially excited to work with her to push for legislation that protects ticket artists and buyers from unjust practices, something that is very near to our own communities. 

And big shoutout to Mikeyj for his tireless sustainability efforts, in and out of the music scene, and for making this connection for our community!

VANTAGE POINT — PART II is officially out 🫟

the full vision is now complete. this album challenged me to explore movement in new ways - different rhythms, different perspectives - and it all led here.

introducing: Where the Ferns Were 🌿

as Team Yoko + head to in Costa Rica, we wanted to launch a project to address the environmental footprint of flying across the continent!

with the help of our music sustainability specialist MikeyJ, here’s what we built:

♻️ a 1-of-1 upcycled merch drop by & Yoko — transforming past Yoko pieces that were too big or too small into entirely new designs.

🎨 in addition, we have 3 amazing original paintings by — immersive works designed to take you on a visual journey through color, texture, and form.

100% of profits from the upcycled clothing + artwork will fund certified carbon offset projects through ! our goal is to balance the full footprint of our team’s, and all of the artists travel (nearly 20 metric tons of CO₂e)!

after that goal is met, additional funds will support an environmental nonprofit based in Costa Rica.

we chose Offset Alliance because their projects align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (a global framework for climate action and social equity) and they are a certified BCorp, meaning they’re held to rigorous standards for environmental and community impact. most importantly, their independently verified projects in Colorado and Costa Rica ensure that our offsets are reinvested in the ecosystems and communities we are part of.
