Book Fairies

At least one of the fairies will be at this! Laura might read a chapter from a classic book. Christiana might come and snap appreciatively for Laura.

Books at the farmers market?? Lovely!

Tomorrow is Open Create and Read Studio at the Tehachapi Arts Center! We'll have storytimeand craft from 11-12 and then open time from 12-4.

Bring a book to read or a project to work on and hang out with other artists and readers. We'll be making pinwheels using recycled materials including kids books. Open to all ages, and we'll bring some books for everyone to share obviously.

All are welcome to join us for storytime at the Art Tehachapi Arts Center every Saturday at 11.

Please note that on Saturday, June 6th we will be at the Bear Valley Renaissance Fair, which unfortunately requires getting a gate pass, which is totally fine because it's actually a lot more like the real Renaissance. So sorry to those who do not have the gate pass.
Laura Checa will be doing her museum quality face art and Christiana Mellein might bring a plague rat so we're both helping.

Saturday June 13th will be storytime at the art center again, followed by Open Read and Create Studio (ORCS) from 12-5. Come at any time during those hours to read books, do your own art or craft project, or do a project with the Fairies! Anyone who attends ORCS can choose a free book from our used book inventory.

Storytime at the arts center starts soon! Stop by the Tehachapi Arts Center at 11 for stories, free books, and something fun to do on a Saturday morning.

Tehachapi Kiwanis are at it again! Thanks to their hard work they installed a new kid's Little Free Library at Billingsley Vet clinic in Sand Canyon at21834 Ferncuko St, Tehachapi, CA 93561. We can't forget to thank the lovely Dr. Billingsley for allowing the Kiwanis to park the library in a safe, sheltered spot. We stuffed some books and bookmarks in there afterward to make sure little readers have a lot of good material.

The library is located outside the front door of the clinic for easy access outside vet hours.

Thanks to the anonymous Sprite who agreed with small bribes to model the new bookstore.

The middle school band could use support in acquiring the instruments listed below! Tehachapi Kiwanis wants to help supply the following instruments, whether used or new. If you have an instrument gathering dust, the middle schoolers would love to give it new life! Ideally, they'd get those instruments from the school, but since they can't get the funding, the band teacher reached out to the Kiwanis for help.
