Rescue-The Perfect Holiday Gift.
It is that special holiday time of year when HOME takes on an extra special meaning-for humans and our four-legged friends alike! A furever home is the most precious gift for a rescue and we're determined to give it to as many dogs as possible this giving season. During 2025, we found loving homes for over 198 dogs through adoption and relocated 1,021 dogs to partner rescues. Let's do even more before year end! If you are not ready to adopt, many dogs would love having a foster home this season. If youâre unable to open your home a financial gift ensures our rescue activities continue into 2026. Your donation can bring even more dogs home of the holidays and is the perfect way to spread that holiday cheer.
PS Titan pictured in our video is still waiting for his forever home. To give him his chance just post below and we will send you the direct link to apply.

Happy Thanksgiving! May your day be filled with love, laughter, friends, family, amazing food and donât forget the Croutons!
Our little Crouton is super grateful for his chance at life. While we are still sorting out his medical issues this little fighter is busy stealing all of our hearts đĽ°. Itâs amazing to think only 11 days ago he came into our rescue a nearly dead puppy desperately hanging on to life. Hypoglycemia almost killed him but the quick actions of his foster saved his life. He continues to need feedings every 2-3 hours to keep his blood sugar levels in a safe range and is still too fragile to vaccinate but he is determined to live and so we are giving him his chance. Little Crouton is currently being treated for a bout of Coccidia and will need Entropion surgery on one of his eyes when he is bigger and stronger. He has a long road to recovery and eventually adoption but he is thankful for life and the support of so many who are making his life a possibility.
As you celebrate this season of thankfulness please consider giving a little to those who donât have a lot. The little lost souls who just want the peace and happiness a good life has to offer. Little souls like Crouton who have so many reasons to live â¤ď¸

When youâre feeling so much better and now have ALL the opinions đĽ°. Little Miss Coraline has now been in our care for 2 months. Originally found wandering by a Good Samaritan this tiny girl was a visually impaired walking skeleton. We arenât sure how she survived on the streets. We quickly discovered that Coraline is diabetic and thatâs why she was so skeletal. With the help of our amazing vet weâve been working hard to get this little nugget on the right dose of insulin. Lots of trial and error but weâre finally getting close which means Coraline is slowly putting on weight and feeling great! This also means sheâs getting closer to adoption and we can finally start looking at all the applications sheâs received in the last couple of months.
Dogs like Coraline, dogs with medical issues who need a little more time are exactly the kind of dogs your donations help support. This Giving Tuesday we hope youâll consider giving a little to ensure we can always say yes to those who need a little more care and a little more medical support. Without you theyâd never get their chance to live the lives they were meant to have. Weâre pretty sure Coraline has so many thankful opinions about that â¤ď¸

Meet Knox, the handsome shepherd mix with airplane ears so powerful they could file a flight plan straight into your heart. Heâs sweet, sensitive, goofy in all the best ways, and honestly just wants to be everyoneâs best friend.
Knox is dog friendly, crate trained, and super responsive to corrections which means heâs kind of a teacherâs pet. He can be a typical shepherd, and does have some protective instincts over his people. We
are looking for a family that are shepherd fans, who will understand his loyal protective nature, and not put him in any difficult situations. He just wants to hang with his humans and the pups and be an introverted homebody. Can you blame him?
He spent a month at the shelter with zero interest, but the moment one of our amazing foster families said yes, his whole life changed. Now heâs officially adoption ready and ready to play hard, snuggle harder, and finally belong to someone who loves him back.
If youâre looking for a playful, affectionate, dog-social boy who comes with his own set of hilarious ears, Knox is your guy. Give him the forever family heâs been patiently waiting for.

Smiles for days â thatâs Binx! This happy-go-lucky boy has been joyful from the moment we met him. Itâs hard to believe a dog this full of life was once on the euthanasia list simply because no one showed interest.
Binx is the total package: smart, handsome, people-loving, and loyal! Heâs sweet, affectionate, and has decent manners. All he wants now is a family who loves life as much as he does, and a strong leader to help him to continue to build his confidence.
If youâre searching for a genuinely good boy with a heart of sunshine â Binx is your guy!

On this Freedom Friday we are honored to spotlight Ginny and Luna. These sweet sisters were found at an abandoned construction site and brought to the shelter, where they waited and waited with no interest. Through KCASâs Streets of Bakersfield program , Jeff and Julie met them during a doggy day out. The girls charmed them instantly. Their gentle nature and bond were impossible to forget.
Just a few days later Ginny and Luna came down with a doggy cold and were suddenly placed on the euthanasia list. Jeff and Julie knew in their hearts that this could not be the end of their story. Jeff reached out to us right away and shared who these girls truly are. Loving. Kind. Worth saving.
At the exact moment we had room, and because of that timing and their determination, Ginny and Luna were given their chance at freedom. Jeff and Julie transported them to our ranch themselves, making sure the sisters stepped into safety and hope.
Ginny and Luna are now with us, healthy, loved, and ready for the forever family who will adore them the way they deserve.
To apply to meet Ginny, Luna or both, please apply at mstleysmutts.org/adoptables.
We highly encourage you to join your local shelterâs doggy day out program, or volunteer with your local shelter or Rescue. Be the voice for the voiceless.
Thanks to KCAS volunteer for some of this footage.
Shadow is the ONLY man you need⌠because he will happily do all the things your man would roll his eyes at đ. He wonât ask why you need 12 decorative pillows⌠he just naps đ´ in luxury and appreciates your decorative taste. Shadow will let you watch as many Hallmark Christmas đđ
đť movies as you want, and will NEVER talk about how cheesy they are. Shadow thinks you absolutely SHOULD go get that second Starbucks âď¸ for the dayâŚeven though you barely drank your first order. He responds immediately when you call his name (?? wild concept). Heâs potty trained. And doesnât leave the seat up. Iconic behavior.
All jokes aside, Shadow is loyal, affectionate, energetic, adventurous, ridiculously handsome, and ready to be the new leading man in your life. He will be attending our Pawsitive Change Training Program, where he will be receiving basic obedience skills. We would love for him to have a home to go directly in to after he completes his program in 6 weeks.
If Shadow seems like the perfect fit for you, apply to meet Shadow at marleysmutts.org/shadow or email [email protected].
Kermit was born a little different. He has Swimmers Syndrome, which made it hard for him to stand and walk as a puppy. He was found abandoned in a field, came to our rescue, and fought through challenges most dogs never face. His spirit never dimmed.
Kermit is 1 years old now, and has been with us for almost his whole life. He is happy, playful, silly, and full of love. Kermit doesnât know he is âdisabled.â He only knows how to love, how to show up, and how to be joyful in every little moment.
Disabled dogs deserve forever too. They deserve a family who sees their heart first and believes they are worthy of being chosen.
Kermit doesnât need someone perfect. He just needs someone who wonât give up on him simply because he is a little different.
If you think that could be you, apply to meet Kermit at marleysmutts.org/kermit
