It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved cofounder, Ted Kitzmiller. Today, our Have a Heart Humane Society family mourns the loss of a true pillar of our organization.

Ted was not just a board member; he was a founding member, a guiding light, and a dedicated advocate for the well-being of animals in need. His unwavering commitment to our cause, alongside his wife's dream of operating an animal rescue, shaped the very foundation of our organization.

A complex man with a heart of gold, Ted was someone you could always count on. Whether it was his firm handshake, his straightforward advice, or his genuine concern for the welfare of our furry friends, Ted's presence left an indelible mark on all of us.
Today, as we reflect on Ted's legacy, we extend our deepest condolences to his daughter, Gina Christopher, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Ted's leadership, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to serving pets in need will be sorely missed. His legacy will continue to inspire us as we carry on his mission of compassion and care.

Rest in peace, dear Ted! We will miss you, Acorn Shaman! Your memory will forever live on in our hearts, and your spirit will continue to guide us as we strive to make the world a better place for animals in need. 🕊️🌈
