A new state law now requires public schools to prominently display the link to subsidized meal applications right on their websites. No more searching. Just access. Thank you to the NJ Legislature and Governor Sherrill for providing education and transparency to ensure that every child in New Jersey has the nutrition they need to thrive.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗕𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱

An anti-bias symposium in New Milford next month will unite community leaders, advocates and neighbors from every faith, background, and identity for a “powerful evening of education, solidarity and action,” its organizer says.

New Milford Councilman Matthew Seymour, who founded the popular Domestic Violence Awareness Symposium, has organized and will moderate the first-time event.

Scheduled topics:

• Legal protections against hate crimes and bias incidents, both federally and at the state level;
• The importance of incident reporting;
• The impact of hate crimes on the community;
• The importance of community alliances.

The event held on from May 20 in the New Milford High School auditorium.
