For the past {almost} 4 years, our studio doors have been open to creative and musical students in Tea. We’ve used this space to hold art classes, photography sessions, and countless music lessons. Hundreds of area kids have discovered their love of piano, drums, guitar and singing over the past several years. I am proud of what we’ve accomplished and am so grateful for the teachers who have poured their love of music into our students.
But, the time has come for us to close our doors. Our lease is up at the end of 2023 and I have decided to not renew the space. As much as I love what DART Studio has become, I am plenty busy enough with DART Boutique in Sioux Falls.
Thank you to the community of Tea for supporting us and for all the parents who saw value in providing learning opportunities for their kids in the form of private lessons. Our current students will continue their musical journeys with their teachers in different venues, just not in DART Studio.
You’ll still see me around since my daughter goes to Tea Middle School and I’m on the worship team at Embrace in Tea. Or stop in and say hi at DART Boutique in The Bridges at 57th & Western. 😉
Again, thank you for the wonderful creative-filled years we’ve had in our Tea studio location!

One of our teachers (Anna Klocke) is opening up new spots in her schedule for lessons! If you’ve been wanting to start piano lessons or clarinet, she’s your gal! Lessons start this summer and will continue into the fall. Send us a message for more info.
Lessons are held in our studio in Tea (backside of the Woodridge Mall)

We are pleased to announce that Tea Storm Chasers will be moving their offices and studio equipment into our space starting February 1st. We will be sharing the location and look forward to working together with them! Tea Storm Chasers

Leo hosted a Winter Festival for his students at the studio this week. Here are a few pictures of the fun!
Proud does not even begin to describe the emotions that ran through me tonight. My heart was bursting when Nicole started playing and the tears flowed!
I’ve taught Nicole for many years now and as of December 20, I am “retiring” from teaching lessons. (My students will continue with Leo—just not with me anymore.) So my full-of-pride heart, combined with my sadness that I won’t be teaching her anymore hit me like a ton of bricks. I was not expecting to be this emotional. If you were there and saw me crying, this is why. 😭
Anyway, Nicole was asked by her choir director to accompany the 7th & 8th Grade Choir for one song. Here is the recording if you’d like to watch. What a great honor this was. She was outstanding!!
