Founded in 2013, Appalachian Spirit Folk Instruments specializes in making zithers, also known as lap harps or plucked psalteries, that reflect the inspiration of the Appalachian spirit. We are dedicated to producing the highest quality zithers possible, using rich tonal woods and fine finishes. We currently offer zithers made in oak, cherry, poplar or pine. We also create zithers from Appalachian Ash and Black Walnut based on the availability of these woods. Each instrument will have its own unique characteristics. Musically, each zither will have its own distinct personality. They are built to last for generations.
