Myers Mustangs

Summer school started this week. We’re having so much fun and learning learning learning. We still have a few spots open if any Myers students are interested.

Dear Myers Elementary Families,

It is with mixed emotions that I share with you that August 2nd week will be my last week as principal of Myers Elementary. Over the past six years, it has been my honor and privilege to serve this incredible community. I am immensely proud of the relationships we have built and the memories we have created together.

The experiences and connections I've made here will forever hold a special place in my heart. Myers Elementary is more than just a school; it is a family, and I will always cherish being a part of it. Though I am stepping down from my role, I am excited to keep hearing about the wonderful achievements and milestones of our students and families through my friends and colleagues.

Thank you for your unwavering support and for allowing me to be a part of your children's lives. It has been a remarkable journey, and I will always be grateful for the time we have shared.

Great news! We have a few openings for summer school! The program runs Monday-Thursday and includes breakfast and lunch. The bus picks students up at Myers at 8:20 and leaves there at 8:30 to bring students to Eureka Heights (Myers is under construction). They will then return to Myers at 12:30. The program runs until August 15. If you are interested in signing your student up, please message me privately here, through Remind or email [email protected]. This is a great way to help students catch up or give them an edge to start the school year. The program is for Myers students only and is completely free!!!!!

The Taylor School District Family Resource Center is open this summer. If you are in need of these resources please use the link in the comments to make an appointment.

See the trucks and cones? We’ve officially started renovating. We are so excited to see the plans and visions start to take form! We look forward to the updates including new furniture for our students, new roof, new library, STEAM, music and makers space, a new safer fencing and more! We will keep you updated as we go. What an exciting summer!! I

Ms. Kern’s class held their ceremony for all of her hard working students. They looked awesome in their caps/ gowns. All of the aides did an amazing job setting things up and Mrs. T made the coolest treats. Mustang Pride!!!

It was a tearful afternoon having to say goodbye to my first group of students. Some of these students started Myers the same year I did and they will always hold a special place in my heart! We are so proud of you Mustangs and we can’t wait to see the amazing things you will continue to do. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang.

Guess what today was? Kindergarten graduation!!! Congratulations to this amazing group of scholars. Class of 2036, woot woot !!!

It was nice meeting some of our newest members to the Mustang family tonight. We look forward to seeing you again this fall!

Field Day 2024 is in the books. So much fun was had by all and we had the perfect day for it!
