They are the shepherds of our monsters, the glue that keeps the chaos of The Machine controlled and focused. Without their vigilant eyes and constant support, our nights would lack the intensity that defines The Machine. The role of a Zone Lead is one of the most demanding positions within our haunt. It's a never ending cycle of support that happens behind the scenes. They ensure our cast is hydrated, stretched, and vocally prepared to perform. They handle bathroom breaks, minor emergencies, and every other concern an actor might have before throughout the night. But their true impact is emotional. When a team member feels vulnerable or defeated, our Zone Leads are the ones who help them process, lifting their spirits and helping them turn that inner turmoil into pure, relentless torment for our guests. They know exactly when you haven’t paced yourself and have been screaming at 100% for far too long or when you’ve had one too many energy drinks…and haven’t hydrated. They are typically at your side before you can even radio for help, with water in one hand and a lozenge in the other. The pride they take in watching their team thrive is immeasurable, and their joy in the success of our team is boundless. To our Zone Leads: thank you for being the leaders of the macabre, for protecting our family, and for keeping the Scream Team and all set pieces firing on all cylinders. We couldn't do this without you!

They are the architects of our nightmares, the tireless crew that turns empty space into the labyrinth of terror our guests experience every season. Without their vision, their hammers, and their relentless drive, The Machine would have no foundation, and our monsters would have nowhere to hide. For over 20 years, this team lived by a grueling, iconic rhythm…a mad-dash build every August, followed by an equally intense teardown every November. That legacy of sweat and grit is what forged the foundation we stand on today. While we’ve evolved to a year-round facility, we refuse to forgo the tradition of constant evolution. We still take immense pride in transforming our footprint every year, because just like you we believe every season should feel like an entirely new experience. The Build Team is a true testament to what can be achieved when a group of people from every walk of life comes together. Whether you are a certified engineer or a total novice, there is a place for you here. Sometimes the most critical job in the haunt is just being an extra set of hands, holding a wall steady while it’s fastened into place. This team pours every ounce of their passion into these walls, often working late nights, long weekends, and every spare hour after work to perfect The Machine before opening night. They are constantly learning, innovating, and testing new tricks to make our haunt the best it can possibly be. To our Build Team: thank you for setting the stage, for your selfless dedication, and for the expert craftsmanship that lets our actors truly shine. We couldn't build these nightmares without you!

For over 20 years now, The Scream Machine has been all over Taylor delivering our best chills, thrills, and frights. Now, we are once again looking for a new place to call home. Through the years, we have worked very hard to provide our guests with the best experience we are able to offer. With that in mind, we are sad to announce that we are unable to open for the 2026 season. We simply do not have the time at this point in the year to put together a show that lives up to the standard that our guests have come to love and expect. While this isn't the news we hoped to give, this is most certainly not the end. This is a transition before a new beginning.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years, and we look forward to seeing you all again in a new location in 2027!

They are our artisans of the macabre, the ones who transform our Scream Team into the stuff of your nightmares night after night. Without their airbrushes, palettes and vision, our monsters wouldn’t feel half as terrifying or real. The work they do is nothing short of witchcraft, especially on nights where they are operating with a skeleton crew of just one or two artists. They somehow conjure up looks for nearly 40 Scream Team members before the doors open. But beyond the technical skill, they are the heartbeat of our pre-show prep. They are our cheerleaders, helping set the stage and getting us pumped before we head into the dark. Most importantly, they serve as our emotional anchors. The Makeup team are our constant sounding boards, providing the reassurance we need when our crew is feeling overwhelmed or insecure about our performance. They provide the inspiration to be the gnarliest monsters we can be. Their skill impresses us, the way they strip the human forms from our Scream Team and unleash their inner monsters so they can truly embody the terror that makes The Machine what it is. We thank our Makeup Team for their endurance, their artistry and the incredible heart they pour into every single one of us. Thank you for keeping us sharp, fueling the fires that drive our imaginations. Most importantly thank you for making our Scream Team so…NASTY!!!

They are our first line of defense, the gatekeepers who stand between customers and the nightmares inside of The Machine. The role of a Regulator is as demanding as it is essential. From the moment the doors open they help set the stage, battling the weather, answering hundreds of questions, managing the flow of lines and expertly upselling the extra experiences that make a night at The Machine unforgettable. Being a Regulator goes beyond just logistics, they are our primary defense against troublesome groups and possess a rare, calm authority that aids in neutralizing potential problems before they start. Regulators help ensure that the only thing our guests have to worry about is the terror lurking inside. Thank you Regulators for being our face and for making sure that every guest has the best possible experience while at The Scream Machine. It's your professionalism, patience, and unwavering dedication that keeps The Scream Machine running smoothly!

highlight someone who has made a difference at The Scream Machine. This week, we’re shining the spotlight on our Security Team! Our Security is the ultimate backbone of our operation, keeping our entire crew and our patrons completely safe night after night. They are always swift, professional, and keeping their necks on a swivel. Because of their sharp eyes, we are usually able to extinguish any problems immediately, either by expertly de-escalating the situation or removing the "problem" entirely before it can taint the amazing energy around them. Their impact goes far beyond just patrolling the grounds. From jumping into the haunt during dry runs helping to train our actors, to offering constant encouragement to the staff, they help out in so many unexpected ways. With them standing guard, our Scream Team feels entirely safe knowing someone always has their back. That peace of mind is what allows our Scream Team to truly let loose, shedding the outside world and becoming one with the monster within—and one with The Machine. We cannot thank our Security Team enough for always going above and beyond and not just doing a job. Thank you for keeping the peace, protecting the family, and making everyone feel safe!

highlight those who make a difference at The Scream Machine. But this week, our spotlight isn’t shining on a single face or name. Instead, we are turning the lights out for a total black out! So, we can properly honor a vital part of our Scream Team: The Shadow Monsters. A "Shadow Monster" is any member of The Scream Team who prefers to remain entirely in the background. They are the ones who quietly think they aren't worthy of being bragged about, or believe it’s best if their contributions stay hidden in the dark. But let us assure you—every last member of this team is essential to The Machine. Whether they are keeping us safe on the Security team, breathing life into the monsters on the Makeup team, constructing the nightmare with the Build team, keeping lines moving & entertaining guests as Regulators, managing the chaos as Zone Leads, or stalking the darkness as Scare Actors, these nameless heroes are what keep our gears turning. While we don't have individual highlights or memories attached to the anonymous, their collective sweat and passion help create every single nightmare and lasting memory born at The Scream Machine. To our anonymous monsters: we see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you.
