Halloween can be a fun time for kids and parents. However, this holiday does come with risks. With that in mind, our team has prepared some safety tips to ensure a safe night for everyone.
🟠Check the forecast: Adjust costumes for the weather; ensure they fit well, don’t drag, and allow for good visibility.
🟠Safety first on the streets: Hold hands with young children, and follow traffic rules. Stay extra vigilant.
🟠Be seen: Wear reflective clothing, carry a flashlight, or use your phone’s light at night to ensure you’re visible to drivers.
🟠Watch for bully behavior: Costumes and masks can sometimes embolden older kids. Keep an eye out for any behavior that could intimidate or make others feel unsafe. Speak up if you see anything concerning.
We hope you have a wonderful, safe Halloween. And, as always, if you have any questions or need assistance, do not hesitate to give us a call.

As we transition into fall, deer are more active, especially during dawn and dusk. With that in mind, it’s important to be extra vigilant on the roads throughout the season.
Here are some tips to keep you safe:
1️⃣ Drive slowly, and stay alert. Reduce your speed, especially in rural and wooded areas.
2️⃣ Always scan the shoulders for deer. At night, watch for the reflection of deer eyes in your headlights.
3️⃣ If driving at dawn or dusk, use your high beams when appropriate to increase visibility.
4️⃣ It may be tempting, but try to avoid swerving. If a deer appears, it's much safer to immediately brake and hit the deer than to swerve and risk a more serious accident.
5️⃣ Keep an eye out for more deer. Where there’s one, there are usually more.
If you have an incident with a deer and need guidance on filing a claim, we are always here to help. Stay safe and drive carefully this season.
