Take Action on Harmful Algal Blooms & Toxic Red Tides in Florida Communities along the Gulf Coast of Florida have been experiencing catastrophic impacts of an unusually persistent, toxic red tide for an entire year now. Red tides are devastating for fish and wildlife and cause health impacts for humans as well.

highlight: Dr. Reagan Errera is a NOAA GLERL principal investigator who studies Great Lakes harmful algal blooms to protect human and ecosystem health. She works with a "lab in a can" called an Environmental Sample Processor (pictured), an instrument that autonomously collects water samples to monitor potential toxins in the lakes.
"Being a researcher for ties together both my passion for phytoplankton and promoting a healthy ecosystem for us and future generations," says Reagan.
