Before I had to go back to work to track tornado warnings in Pasco & Hernando Counties, I hung out with the 1st graders at LCC Day School in St. Pete.

Just before we started, I showed them a live look at the radar & the strong thunderstorm west of Pasco in the Gulf. Little did I know that the same storm would have me working a long day today.

You'll see the kids tomorrow morning on Good Morning Tampa Bay.

Emergency management in Pasco County near Hudson reported a tornado in the area around 2:37 pm. Does anyone have video, photos, or any damage reports?

3:48 PM | Area of heavy rain in northern and western Hillsborough County approaching downtown Tampa as seen from our Rivergate Tower camera. How are things looking where you are?

RADAR | 3:30 PM radar shows the heaviest rains from northern Pinellas and Hillsborough north into Citrus counties. There are also some heavier cells in eastern Polk County that are moving east into Osceola county. No warnings currently.

RAINFALL | These storms are producing rainfall rates of 1-3" per hour. Are you seeing any localized flooding where you are?

RAINFALL | Parts of Citrus, Hernando and Pasco counties have already recorded 1-3" of rain and more is on the way. Be careful and watch for localized flooding if getting around in these storms this evening.

The NWS is reporting roof damage from suspected tornado that moved onshore into Hudson. Updates on Tampa Bay 28 all evening. As of 3 p.m., all warnings have expired.

Tornado Warning Update: Here's the current location as of 1:46 where the waterspout is located. It's hung together for nearly an hour and is about to move onshore. The NWS issued the warning as it does so. Updates as the line moves into the area.
