Tampa Police Conducting DUI Checkpoint The Tampa Police Department DUI unit will be conducting a DUI checkpoint late Friday, July 1, to early Saturday, July 2. Officers will be stationed near E Sligh Avenue and N Branch Avenue from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

So, a "drunk driver" wrecked, destroying (3) of my mailboxes. No prob with the driver/defendant/insured (it was an accident, of course)... however, his insurance company is another story. They hired an appraiser to "look at" the accident scene and submit an estimate for replacement. Apparently he has little regard for the poor sucker that has to actually do the work (& purchase the materials) as I was just presented with a seemingly low estimate. He did however feel HIS services were quite valuable as his invoice was for $360.00... and HE won't be digging any holes.

Bay news 9 reports: "Alcohol shortens the time it takes to fall asleep". Who would have guessed?
