You can’t improve what you can’t measure.

Most successful people are not over-trained. They are over-stimulated.

The body cannot tell the difference between a board meeting that ran hot, a deadline that slipped, and being chased by a predator. Same hormones. Same physiological cost. The cortisol does not care about the cause.

Muscle is not aesthetic. Muscle is the closest thing your body has to a retirement account.

By forty, the average man has lost roughly eight percent of his lean mass. By sixty, the decline accelerates. The men and women who fall and do not get back up — the ones who lose independence in their seventies — almost always share the same root cause. They ran out of muscle.
