was formed in October of 2010 as a 5-piece Deathcore band with a strong anti-political message and with a clear goal, to wake up the masses to the wide scale corruption found within every level of the world governments and their institutions. A Riot in Moscow released their debut EP "Homeland Invasion" on September 11th 2012. This was later re-released by Canadian record label BEEN THERE SCENE THAT on September 2nd 2021.  

Our longtime drummer Brent Phillips had the opportunity to join Metal Blade Records artist Abiotic and played on their sophomore release "Casuistry". At this point, A Riot in Moscow went on hiatus only to reemerge years laters as a 2-piece studio project focusing on a more traditional or classic Deathcore style.  

Fall of 2023 will finally see the release of the 2nd EP entitled "Extinction Event".  Prepare yourselves for the sonic onslaught that will ensue.

Wanted to share a bit of insight about some of my amps used during the re-amp process for the new EP. As great as digital amps have become, tube amps are simply irreplaceable.

For the gearheads out there, we used the KSR Gemini boosted with a Fortin 33 blended with a Revv Genarator MK III (Purple Channel) boosted with a Horizon Devices Precision drive. Fractal Axe Fx III for cleans and lead guitars. The track “Order of the Eastern Star” exclusively used the Neural DSP Quad Cortex.

This was hands down the best recording experience I’ve ever had and I genuinely hope you all enjoy this record as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
