May was a busy one! 9 new projects kicked off, 11 permits secured, and 4 fire protection jobs completed — all while welcoming 5 summer interns to the FSM family (2 mechanical, 3 electrical) offering 140 hours of hands-on experience to these talented students each week.

Congratulations to Leon Johnson on passing his Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) exam!

Leon has been a part of the FSM Engineering family since his college internship, and watching him earn this credential is a proud moment for our entire team. Well done, Leon!

Hurricane Michael made landfall in Mexico Beach in October 2018 as one of the most powerful storms to ever hit the Florida Panhandle. The Driftwood Inn was among the countless properties affected. FSM Engineering was proud to be part of the team that brought this beloved beachside inn back to life - redesigning the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems from the ground up so that guests could return to the place they love.

Behind every permit approved, project launched, and document delivered is a team that shows up and gets it done. April by the numbers: 6 new projects, 7 permits received, 52 deliverables out the door, and 2 internships wrapped up with students who made a real impact during their time with us.

We're proud of what this team accomplished and even prouder of the next generation of engineers we got to work alongside. Looking forward for what's to come in May!

The other week the FSM Engineering team was proud to serve as judges for the FAMU–FSU College of Engineering Senior Design Projects - an event that never fails to showcase the creativity and real-world problem solving of the next generation of engineers!

Even more meaningful was seeing one of our own in the mix. Today also happens to be Tomas' last day as an intern with us, which makes this moment even more special to look back on. Tomas (pictured on the left) is heading to the University of Florida for grad school this fall, and we couldn't be more proud. It has been a pleasure having him on the team - his contributions, curiosity, and hard work have left a real mark on our group. Best of luck, Tomas, we'll be cheering you on!

Last week, the full FSM Engineering team came together for an all-hands meeting to bring our employees from across the state into one place.While we don't get to work face to face often, it is always great to connect and align for what’s ahead! While the meetings were productive, we made sure to carve out some time for fun, too.

A team outing at the Pickle Pad gave everyone a chance to enjoy some friendly competition! It was great to have everyone together!
